
Sailing license course
(D-license course)
Targeted preparation for the practical sailing exam for the D license. Deepening and expanding the knowledge and skills learned in the basic course.
Gaining routine and safety in maneuver procedures and seamanship.
Registration for the sailing exam after passing of the mock exam.

Course requirements
Minimum age of 14 years / passed theory test / for persons not resident in the canton of Vaud: Permission from the navigation office of the canton of residence to take the practical test in another canton.
We recommend preparing the theory exam with the Online course from Boat Driver Swiss.

Required previous knowledge
Basic sailing course or proof of relevant knowledge and skills by means of a short sailing trip (1 hour).

Course duration
Experience has shown that you should expect the course to take around 15 hours in private mode (e.g. 5 lessons of 3 hours each), and around 15 - 20 hours in semi-private mode. However, there is no minimum number of lessons! As soon as you are ready to take the exam, we will register you for the practical exam.

Prices
Private (1 person): CHF 120.00/hour / Semi-private (2 persons): CHF 80.00/hour pP
Insurance contribution (flat rate): CHF 90.00 pP (not applicable for persons who have attended the basic course)
Exam organisation + boat charter: CHF 100.00 (private) or CHF 50.00 pP (semi-private)
The course material is included. Half of the course will be invoiced in advance, the second half after the end of the course.
